Williamson County Parks and Recreation (WCPR) invites area seniors (55+) to join us on Wednesday, June 19 to visit Radnor Lake.
Participants must be able to walk independently on different types of terrain and provide their own lunch/snacks and water for this hike. This outing is weather dependent. Should inclement weather require cancellation, participants will be notified as soon as a determination is made.
The group will depart the Williamson County Enrichment Center, 110 Everbright Ave., Franklin, at 9:00 a.m. and return at 1:00 p.m. The cost of the outing is $3 for transportation. Registration opens May 22 at www.wcparksandrec.com. Registration code #14521.
Radnor Lake State Park is a 1,368-acre park and is protected as a Class II Natural Area. It is unique due to the abundance of wildlife viewing opportunities, environmental education programs, hiking opportunities and its location in an urban area. The park is day-use only and has more than six miles of trails, ranging from east to strenuous, and is strictly used for hiking, photography and wildlife observation.
