‘SNIP & TIP TAXI’  RETURNS TO FAIRVIEW AUGUST 6 & 7

Free ride to spay/neuters for Fairview cats

Due to popular demand, the Williamson County Animal Center’s ‘Snip & Tip Taxi’ will return to Fairview on August 6 and 7, offering a free ride to free spay/neuter surgeries for outdoor cats.

During two previous ‘Snip & Tip Taxi’ transports from Fairview, over 30 cats were spayed or neutered.  This service is part of the shelter’s Community Cat program, which includes free spay/neuter surgeries for all outdoor cats in Williamson County, including family pets.

Free pick-up and delivery will be offered Tuesday, August 6 or Wednesday, August 7 at the Fairview Recreation Center parking lot, 2714 Fairview Blvd. from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. for loading, and from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. both days for residents to pick up their cats.

Slots for free transport on August 6 or 7 are limited, and residents must register in advance by calling 615-790-5590, ext. 1823.  The shelter welcomes stray or community cats as well, and can assist with trapping. Residents must drop off cats in secure carriers. There is no fee for the spay/neuter program, which includes surgery, rabies vaccination, microchip and ear-tipping.

The Community Cat program is open to all Williamson County residents. To make an appointment for a free spay or neuter for an outdoor cat, call the shelter at 615-790-5590, ext. 1823.

The Williamson County Animal Center is located at 106 Claude Yates Dr. in Franklin. The shelter is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Adoptable animals can be viewed at www.adoptwcac.org.
