Dr. Linda Boling named Chorus Director


The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department (WCPR) is pleased to announce the public auditions for the new Williamson County Community Chorus, and has named Dr. Linda Bolding as the new group’s director.


Public auditions will be held Monday, August 28 and Tuesday, August 29 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Williamson County Enrichment Center, 110 Everbright Ave. in Franklin. As the new chorus director, Boling will conduct the auditions.


With more than twenty years of experience conducting adult choirs, Bolding brings professional excellence and experience to the Williamson County Community Chorus. She received a bachelor’s of music degree from Eastern New Mexico University, a master’s degree in music education from the University of Texas, and a doctorate in choral conducting from Columbia Pacific University. Bolding is a past conductor of the Austin, Texas Civic Chorus and the Round Rock, Texas Community Choir. Her choirs have toured Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Scotland, Ireland and Canada. Bolding recently relocated to the Franklin area from Texas.


Following the auditions, the chorus will have weekly practices on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Williamson County Enrichment Center.  Their first public performance is scheduled for December 10 (details to be announced).
