Williamson County Parks and Recreation Teams with County Animal Center for ‘2nd Annual ‘Bark ‘n Splash Bash’ at Two Locations

Can your doggie paddle? Find out at the 2nd Annual ‘Bark ‘n Splash Bash’ on Saturday, September 7. Due to popular demand, this year’s event will be held at two WCPR locations:  the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Dr., from 9:00 to 12:00 noon, and the Williamson County Recreation Center at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd., from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department and Williamson County Animal Center partner in this joint event to raise money for the animal center’s special medical fund.

Evan Hampton, Aquatics Coordinator for WCPR said his staff is excited to host the event. “We know people love their dogs and the Bark ‘n Splash Bash gives them a chance to enjoy playing with their dogs in some of our outdoor pools.” During the special event, the pool area will be open only to pre-registered adult handlers (18+) and their dogs. Spectators are welcome to observe from the Bowwow Boosters section (free).

Registration will open August 1. Participants must pre-register at www.wcparksandrec.com.

The entry fee is $20 per pet. Space is limited. To register for the Longview/Spring Hill location, use registration code #14961 or registration code #14962 for the Nolensville location. Proof of rabies is required for entry (no exceptions), and participants should review all rules and waivers during online registration. The event is sponsored by Scott Poe Properties. Rain date is Sunday, September 8.
