September fun includes Mindful Eating class

The Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd., has fun classes for kids and adults. Try  Mr. Bond’s Science Guys, art classes for ages 3-14, Mindful Eating or guitar lessons.   All classes are open to the public, and registration is available at www.wcparksandrec.com.

 

Mindful Eating

Learn to control your eating habits in this two-part class.  Learn how important choosing the correct food is for your body and mind, and the difference in physical and emotional hunger. Each class includes  teaching time, gentle mindful yoga and a Q&A session. Meets Mondays, September 17 and 24 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. at the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd. Art with Kreative Kat-Open Studio

Kids, ages 8 to 14, come join the fun creating beautiful art in this ongoing class! Each month will focus on learning techniques in a specific medium in an open studio environment. Mr. Bond’s Science Guys-Saw It on YouTube

Try those crazy YouTube experiments in this science class for ages 7 to 12 yrs.  New experiments each week will keep kids fascinated and engaged. Class size is limited to 15, and meets Thursdays, September 6-27 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Register at www.wcparksandrec.com, activity #12690, $50 for the 4-week session (repeats monthly) at the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd.).

 

Wiggles & Giggles

Drop your child off in the gym on Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. for our free Wiggles and Giggles supervised play time (ages 3-6 years). Parent must stay in the rec center and use the facility. Wiggles & a Giggles is free with a family pass or general admission. The Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd.

 

Guitar Lessons

Learn to play the guitar in 30-minute private lessons on Thursdays at the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville. Instructor Phil Mikel will tailor the lessons to the student’s skill levels and interests. For ages 7 through adults. $30 per lesson.  To register, contact Phil Mikel at 615-649-1898.

 

Barre

Barre combines ballet, Pilates and yoga to develop beautifully sculpted lean muscles. Barre uses intense isometric training with low-impact moves that focus on balance, lengthening and strengthening. No dance experience is required.  This 60-minute class is offered at the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd., on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00 a.m. and Saturdays at 8:05 a.m.  Please register in advance at www.wcparksandrec.com.
