WILLIAMSON COUNTY RECREATION COMPLEX AT NOLENSVILLE HAS ACTIVITIES FOR ALL AGES

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department has ongoing classes and activities for children and adults at the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville.  All classes are open to the public. Registration and more information is available at www.wcparksandrec.com.

 

Adult Art Workshop

This is the art workshop for those who really want to create some awesome projects! This workshop will cover various mediums, including acrylics, watercolor, and mixed media on canvas, stone and glass. With more time to work with than the Open Studio Class, participants can focus on more detail and complex projects. The workshop will meet Monday through Friday, June 17-21 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd. Guitar and Piano Lessons

Learn to play the guitar or piano in 30-minute or one hour private lessons on Tuesdays from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd. Instructor Phil Mikel will tailor the lessons to the student’s skill levels and interests. For ages 7 through adults. $25 per one hour lesson or $15 for a 30 min lesson.  To register, contact Phil Mikel at (615) 649-1898.

 

Barre

Barre combines ballet, Pilates and yoga to develop beautifully sculpted lean muscles. Barre uses intense isometric training with low-impact moves that focus on balance, lengthening and strengthening. No dance experience is required.  This 60-minute class is offered at the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00 a.m. Cost for classes June 11-27 is $72. Table Tennis

Table tennis for all ability levels is available for practice sessions, open play and match play for a session fee of $3.00 per person payable at sign-inThe scheduled time for this activity at the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd., is every Friday evening from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. Coaching can also be arranged for beginners as well as those wanting to improve their game. Open Pickleball

If you are looking for a new way to be more active, try Pickleball, a relatively new game popular with many adults. Pickleball is a cross between badminton, tennis and table tennis, and is lots of fun! Open Pickleball (indoor) is offered at the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd. on Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and Wednesdays from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. For information about clinics and the use of the Pickleball courts, visit www.wcparksandrec.com.

 

Fitness and Wellness

Williamson County Parks and Recreation (WCPR) offers a wide variety of fitness classes at the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd.  With ongoing, weekly classes, plus personal trainers and health coaches on staff; WCPR makes it easy for you reach your goals with classes like Yoga, Zumba, indoor cycling, Iron Bodies, and Boot Camp.
